We adored Delta Goodrem's performance as Grizabella which particularly captured the audience with her rendition of the song Memory, one of CATS' most well-known songs of all time. Delta Goodrem is a singer, songwriter, performer, pianist and actress and appears as a coach on the award winning talent show, The Voice Australia. Delta is one of Australia’s most accomplished female performers of the last decade, having achieved multi-platinum-selling status, eight #1 singles and three #1 albums.
Daniel Assetta (who played Rum Tum Tugger) also offered a brilliant performance. One of Australia’s most exciting up-and-coming performers, Daniel trained at The Glenda Yee School of Dance and graduated from ED5 International with a Diploma of Performing Arts. Daniel made his musical theatre debut in Wicked and toured throughout Australasia with the show. His credits also include Opera Australia productions of Carmen, Tosca, Turandot, Billy Budd, Carmina Burana and The Magic Flute. I was aware this was on, but didn't know Delta Goodrem was in it! It only runs for a short few months so I'm looking to go in January.
