Denis The Menace

Pioneering a culture of excellent food and coffee, Cremorne’s hottest new café, Denis The Menace is an exciting addition to this thriving foodie hub.
Plenty of natural light, clean designs and wooden furnishings with flashes of greenery create a friendly culture.
Serious about coffee, the café roasts its own, selected through a 12 single origin cupping from which they selected four to produce a blend tailored to cut through the milk and ensure the coffee flavour is still present without too much bitterness. This is achieved through roasting each bean type separately before combining, as each responds differently to roasting times.
The food at Denis The Menace is a big draw card. Doing it differently with a breakfast and lunch menu developed around the seasons with a focus on delicious vegetarian options.
I’ll Have What She’s Having

This was a beautiful dish featuring freshly seared tuna served with edamame, snow peas, green beans, shiso and muzuna leaves. All the elements were brought together by a tangy ponzu and lemon oil dressing. It was a perfect dish for the warm weather.
A Bowl Full of Yum + Pulled lamb shoulder

The lamb shoulder was full of flavour and wonderfully tender while the “bowl of yum”, was as promised, YUM. A bowl of red and black rice, quinoa, adzuki beans, lentils, buckwheat, almonds, pistachios, sunflower and pumpkin seeds, fresh parsley and dukkah tossed in a refreshing lemon dressing which worked well to cut through the richness of the lamb.
Denis The Menace is a winner in a very Melbourne manner. Expect artfully branded staff, showing an elaborate array of tattooed skin to present polished food and drink within comfortable surrounds.
