Ribs and Schnitzel Co. in Glenferrie Road, Hawthorn is a new restaurant serving ribs, schnitzel, grilled chicken and falafel meals with creative toppings and exciting side dishes.
The story began with restaurant owner, Yoram Malka and his famous BBQ ribs and crumbed chicken breast. Despite successfully running a locally renowned restaurant, Yoram believed that he could take his famous schnitzels to the next level. Together with his daughter, Ribs and Schnitzel Co. was born.
Crumbed Chicken Parma
The Crumbed Chicken Parma was delicious. As we sank our teeth through the crispy crumbed layer, it unleashed moreish and tender morsels of chicken breast. Slathered with decadent Bolognese sauce, ham and grated cheese, it was a simple dish, done well.
Pork - half rack
The pork ribs were nicely caramelised and were laced with crispy charred bits. Flavoured well by the decadently sweet and savoury sauce, it was delicious.
Flame grilled chicken with greens
We loved this healthy option of tender grilled chicken breast served with an array of green goodness (Mixed leaves, broccoli, sesame, green beans, capers, mixed seeds (poppy, sesame, chia, pepitas) and basil pesto).
Lamb - full rack
The lamb rack was a standout and the highlight of our meal. Particularly noteworthy for its fragrant and complex gamey flavours which were enhanced by being marinated for hours prior to being smoked. The meat was both soft and delicate.
