Part 1 - Trip to Daylesford & the Macedon Ranges - Brunch @ Koukla

Located on Daylesford’s bustling Vincent Street, Koukla is the recent casual cafe addition to Jimmy's Bar & Dining Room @ Frangos & Frangos.
Koukla boasts a casual bohemian café vibe.
The menu is reasonably priced, fresh and is underpinned by the ethos that cafes should use seasonal produce sourced from Victoria. The food served by the kitchen ranges from well-loved breakfast favourites to hearty lunch items.
Soy cappuccino

We found the coffee to be of an excellent standard. The cappuccino contained a perfect layer of silken froth and tasted terrific.
Sweet corn fritters
Grilled tomato, avocado, sour cream, rocket

The corn fritters had a crunchy golden brown exterior and were succulently sweet - the nuggets of deep fried batter brought pleasure to our taste buds. It was a simple and delightful dish.
Bruschetta
Smoked salmon, avocado, fetta, poached egg

The bruschetta was pleasant. Thick, warm slices of toasted bread were served with sensational toppings and glistened with generous splashes of extra virgin olive oil. The smoked salmon was fresh and the egg was expertly poached. These were accompanied by creamy morsels of avocado and fetta. In all, this dish was a respectable assembly of breakfast essentials.
With its sleek interior, top notch coffee and good food Koukla has all of the ingredients necessary to make its mark and is a relaxing Daylesford option for any day of the week.
